Gulf of Maine Council / US and Canadian Associations
The Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment has established two Associations to provide contractual and fiscal management services in support of the Council’s activities in the United States and Canada. Both Associations comply with their own bylaws and nonprofit or charitable organization guidelines in their respective countries.
About the US Gulf of Maine Association
The Association of US Delegates to the Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment (Gulf of Maine Association), is a United States 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization with Board of Director membership that includes representatives from both Canada and the United States. The Gulf of Maine Association manages day-to-day contractual and fiscal operations in support of Gulf of Maine Council initiatives. The Gulf of Maine Association supports Gulf of Maine Council programs and projects by raising funds, approving budgets and overseeing compliance with all grants and contributions. The Gulf of Maine Association also provides fiscal agent services to other organizations with similar missions to the Gulf of Maine Council, including the Regional Association for Research on the Gulf of Maine.

About the Canadian Association
The Association of Canadian Delegates to the Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment (Canadian Association), is a Canadian charitable organization with Canadian Board of Director membership. The Canadian Association processes contracts from Canadian funding sources and transfers funds to be managed by the Gulf of Maine Association.
