NOAA’s Marine Debris Program recently released an updated Gulf of Maine Marine Debris Action Plan. This document is the result of a collaborative and voluntary effort across the marine debris community in the Gulf of Maine. The Gulf of Maine Marine Debris Action Plan was drafted through the collaborative effort of more than 30 organizations conducting work in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia to address marine debris through coordinated voluntary actions over five years (2026 – 2031).
